RTI

Organization

The company has three divisions: the Titanium group, the Fabrication group, and the Distribution group, made up of 1,750 people at 20 locations in the United States, Canada, Europe, and Asia.

Titanium Group

The Titanium Group melts and produces a complete range of titanium mill products, which are further processed by its customers for use in a variety of aerospace and industrial applications.

The Titanium Group's products consist primarily of titanium mill products and specialty alloys for use in the ferrous and nonferrous metals industries. Such titanium mill products consist of basic mill shapes including ingot, slab, bloom, billet, bar, plate and sheet.

These products are sold to a customer base consisting primarily of manufacturing and fabrication companies in the aerospace and nonaerospace markets such as prime aircraft manufacturers and subcontractors including metal fabricators, forge shops, machine shops and metal distribution companies. Titanium mill products are semi-finished goods and most often represent the raw or starting material for these customers, who then form, fabricate, machine or further process them into finished or semi-finished parts.

Fabrication Group

RTI International Metals'Fabrication Group is comprised of operations that fabricate, machine, and assemble titanium and other specialty metal parts and components.

Fabricated products include seamless and welded pipe, engineered tubular products and extrusions for oil and gas exploration and production and geothermal energy production industries. Fabricated products also include hot-formed and superplastically formed parts, machined, assembled, and cut shapes and extrusions for aerospace (commercial and defense) applications.

The group serves aerospace, oil and gas, power generation, and chemical process industries, as well as a number of other industrial and consumer markets.

Distribution Group

RTI recently reorganized its operating structure which included the creation of the Distribution Group.

The separation of the Distribution group from the combined Fabrication & Distribution group has been done in order to provide clarity on our business performance to investors and to give clearer accountability and strategic direction to this important part of the company.

With Distribution sales today representing over 40% of total RTI Group revenue, it is vitally important that our development and growth strategically fit with RTI's overall strategic direction. The strategic objectives that we see for the Distribution Group include:
