Dawne S. Hickton is Vice Chair, President and Chief Executive Officer of RTI International Metals, Inc., one of the world's largest producers of titanium mill products, and a manufacturer and distributor of fabricated specialty metal components and engineered systems for the aerospace, industrial, defense, and energy markets. Ms. Hickton became the CEO on April 27, 2007. She has served as a member of RTI's board since 2007.

Ms. Hickton was formerly Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer at RTI, where she was closely engaged in a variety of strategic issues. These included the Company's restructuring, its international expansion, industry lobbying, and labor relations. In this position, she was responsible for finance, accounting, investor relations, treasury, tax, human resources, information systems, and legal matters.
Previously, Ms. Hickton was employed at USX Corporation, where she worked not only with the parent organization but also with its subsidiaries: US Steel, American Bridge Company, and US Steel Mining Company. From 1994 through 1997, she was assistant professor of Clinical Law at the University of Pittsburgh.
Ms. Hickton is also a Director of FNB Corporation, where she serves on the executive, compensation and corporate governance and nominating committees. She is a member of the board of directors of the International Titanium Association and is a member of the board of governors for the Aerospace Industries Association. She serves on the advisory board of the University Of Pittsburgh Medical Center McGowan Institute for Regenerative Medicine and is a member of the University of Pittsburgh's Board of Trustees serving on the risk and compliance and the student affairs committees.
She is a 1979 graduate of the University of Rochester and received her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Law in 1983.
Ms. Hickton resides in Pittsburgh with her husband, David, and their children.
Mr. McCarley has over 22 years of domestic and international manufacturing, design, operations and business management experience.
James L. McCarley is Executive Vice President, Operations of RTI International Metals, Inc., one of the world’s largest producers of titanium mill products and a manufacturer and distributor of fabricated specialty metal components and engineered systems for the aerospace, industrial, defense and energy markets. Mr. McCarley became the Executive Vice President on May 17, 2010. He will oversee RTI’s global operational responsibilities for the Titanium Group, Fabrication, Energy Systems and Supply Chain Management.
Mr. McCarley has over 22 years of domestic and international manufacturing, design, operations and business management experience.
Mr. McCarley was formerly a division president at Wyman Gordon, a division of Precision Castparts Corporation. He was responsible for the performance of four domestic and three international manufacturing operations collectively representing over $1.1 billion in annual revenue with forging product lines that serviced the aerospace and energy markets. Mr. McCarley previously held engineering and leadership positions of progressively increased responsibilities at General Electric’s Power Generation Services, Cameron Iron Works and Cooper Industries.
A native of San Antonio, Texas, Mr. McCarley is a graduate of Texas Tech University with a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering. Mr. McCarley is a board member of General Vortex Energy, a green technology start-up company, and also serves in an advisory role for small to medium venture-capital and angel investing firms.
Mr. Giangiordano was appointed Senior Vice President of the Titanium Group in 2002. He assumed the position of Executive Vice President on April 27, 2007. Mr. Giangiordano is a member of the Association for Manufacturing Excellence, American Society of Metals, and Iron & Steel Society.
Stephen R. Giangiordano is the Executive Vice President of Technology & Innovation of RTI International Metals, Inc. (NYSE: RTI) headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Company produces and distributes a variety of products composed of titanium and other specialty metals serving commercial and military aerospace defense, energy, industrial and consumer markets. Sales for 2008 were $610 million. The Company has 1,600 employees worldwide.
A native of Greenville, Pennsylvania, Mr. Giangiordano holds a B.E. degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the Youngstown State University. He began his career in 1979 with Republic Steel in Canton, Ohio, as a Process Product Metallurgist. In 1984, Mr. Giangiordano joined RMI Titanium Company in Operations and Process Engineering. He held various management positions in Quality and Technology from 1989 through 1993 and advanced to Senior Director of Technology in 1994, and held that position until his appointment as President of Galt Alloys in 1999. In 2002, he was appointed Senior Vice President of the Titanium Group, and he assumed the position of Executive Vice President in 2007. Appointed to Executive Vice President of Technology and Innovation in 2008, he has served as a member of the Youngstown State University CSTEM Dean's Advisory Board and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Advanced Manufacturing Research Center.
Mr. Hull is a native of Youngstown, Ohio, where he received his B.S. degree from Youngstown State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of Financial Executives International, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants.

The Company manufactures and distributes fabricated specialty metal components and engineered systems serving the aerospace, defense, energy, chemical processing, medical implant, and power generation industries.
Mr. Hull joined RTI in August 2005 as Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer. Previously, he spent 18 years at Stoneridge, Inc. (NYSE: SRI), a designer and manufacturer of highly engineered electrical and electronic components for the automotive, heavy truck, and off road vehicle industries. At Stoneridge, he held positions of increasing responsibility including Corporate Controller, Division Controller and Vice President Finance. Before joining Stoneridge, he served in public accounting for 6 years.
Mr. Hull is a native of Youngstown, Ohio, where he received his B.S. degree from Youngstown State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of Financial Executives International, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Mr. Strome holds a B.S. from Northwestern University and an M.B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh, as well as a J.D. degree from that institution's School of Law.

Mr. Strome joins RTI from Laurel Mountain Partners, L.L.C., a private equity firm, where he served as a Principal focusing on development projects. Prior to joining Laurel in 2006, Mr. Strome was with the investment banking firm of Friedman, Billings, Ramsey & Co., Inc., (FBR), where he served as Senior Managing Director & Group Head - Investment Banking, and was responsible for building, growing, and managing a diversified industrials investment banking practice. Before joining FBR, he was the PNC Financial Services Group, Inc., from 1981 to 2001, serving as Managing Director - Capital Markets and managed the firm's corporate finance advisory activities and its mergers and acquisitions services.
A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Mr. Whalen is a 1996 graduate of Grove City College and received his Juris Doctor from Penn State Dickinson School of Law in 1999.
Chad Whalen is Vice President and General Counsel of RTI International Metals, Inc. headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. RTI International Metals, Inc. is a titanium and other specialty metal manufacturing and fabrication company publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE: RTI). Mr. Whalen is an executive officer and serves as the chief legal officer and corporate secretary for RTI, its subsidiaries and business units. He joined RTI in February 2007.
Prior to joining RTI, Mr. Whalen was a practicing attorney in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, office of Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC. Here he concentrated on representing public companies in the areas of corporate finance, corporate governance, and was a member of the steering committee of the firm's SEC Practice Group and a member of its Mergers & Acquisitions Practice Group. Over the past several years, while employed at the firm, Mr. Whalen provided advice and counsel to RTI in various matters of corporate governance and securities law compliance, as well as legal support on the Company's Canadian acquisition in 2004.
A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Mr. Whalen is a 1996 graduate of Grove City College and received his Juris Doctor from Penn State Dickinson School of Law in 1999. He is an active member of the American Bar Association's Federal Regulation of Securities and Negotiated Acquisitions subcommittees, the Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals, and is a member of the Pennsylvania and Allegheny County Bar Associations.
